Steven Assael will discuss both an analytical and emotive approach to painting the human figure with an accent on color and value relationships in a related atmosphere.

This workshop will consist of a single long pose in both cool and warm light. The evolution of form through observation and interpretation of airplane shifts projecting and receding from the eye will be stressed.

Steven Assael is an American painter recognized nationally every bit one of the leading representational figurative artists of his generation. Medium: Delight bring stand up oil and cold pressed linseed oil to the workshop. Bring some cheap linseed or walnut oil to make clean brushes.

DO Non BRING ANY MINERAL SPIRITS OR TURPENTINE TO THE STUDIO, DUE TO Wellness ISSUES!!!!!!!

We like the boards to be primed with a mid-tone red and mid tone green Earth greenish and Cadmium or Permanent green (these are boards that are already primed with acrylic gesso), you can use any cerise acrylic, Napthol cherry-red on the boards or a mid tone cerise (Venetian red, English ruddy, Burnt Sienna).

If you are using lead primed canvas, do not use acrylic pigment on it.

Use a thinned (with mineral spirits) reddish oil pigment that volition dry (non a cadmium - it volition have a long fourth dimension to dry).

Napthol Red, Windsor Red or Burnt Sienna

Also some boards primed with Earth Green or Permanent Green ( 2 adept examples)

Any enrollees on the Active List who drops 45 days or more prior to workshop will be refunded 100% less PayPal fees equally long as their slot is filled, if their slot is not filled and then a $100 fee is charged.
